Hi I’m Liz. I’m the President of the Swinburne Student Union and a student in the Faculty of Life and Social Sciences. I’ve been a student activist for many years. My passion for to standing up against injustice began in high-school when I participated in student walk-outs against Pauline Hanson’s racist One Nation party. Since then, I’ve been a member of numerous organising committees – from campaigns against the government’s HECs increases and attacks on student unionism to campaigns for refugee rights and against war. This year I plan to continue the proud tradition of SSU as a left-wing activist student union which fights for our rights and for social justice.
