The SSU Queer Collective aims to represent, advocate and empower Swinburne students who identify as LGBTIQA+, and those who are curious about or questioning their sexuality. We are a welcoming group of students who run events, volunteer with the SSU, and host social activities for students.

During Semester, our Hawthorn campus space (we’re welcoming a new, exciting space in 2022!) is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. All queer students and queer-allies are welcome and encouraged to get involved so come visit us! Join our Facebook group to keep up to date on upcoming events and activities, as well as how to find us!

The SSU Women’s Collective aims to represent, advocate and empower women and female identifying students at Swinburne. We are a welcoming group of students who run events and workshops, and host social activities for students.

During Semester, our Hawthorn campus space is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. The space is used for quiet study, socialising and collective events, with an aim to ensure comfort and safety on campus for all female identifying students. The space also offers free sanitary items and is home to a friendly and supportive community. Check out the SSU Website and FB page for further details on how to get in touch!
